HOWARD BECKERMAN (Founder/Chair) is President of Heartworks International. A composer, lyricist, and playwright, he is also a language educator, media producer, and author of award-winning musical programs and publications for learning languages. He has an M.A. in Applied Linguistics from Columbia University.

LINDA BECKERMAN
(Founder/Executive Director) is Vice President of Heartworks International. An artist and a writer, she has also served as Project Manager for programs in new play development, multilingual publishing and media, and not-for-profit arts and education grants. She has an M.F.A. in Painting from Rochester Institute of Technology.

MICHAEL ROMANELLI
(Vice Chair) is a Financial Consultant at
Stifel Nicolaus.

JOSEPH POSPISIL (
Treasurer) is Regional Sales Manager (Northeast) at Centro Media Services.

MARY JANE PELUSO (Secretary) is World Languages Publisher of Yale University Press.

ARISLEYDA MALDONADO is a Financial Advisor and Certified Investment Management Analyst at Merrill Lynch.
CANDIDO GONZALEZ is a Senior Lecturer in Spanish at St. Joseph’s College.
LYNNE FOSTER is an elementary arts educator as well as a veteran actress in regional and Off-Broadway theaters.
LORENA DOHERTY is the Multicultural Librarian at North Shore Pubic Library and a professional storyteller.
LINDA CONTINO is the Choral Director at Ward Melville High School.
MARK BLANKENSHIP is a theater critic and journalist for the NY Times, Variety, and The New York Sun.

VICTOR ABRAVAYA is Chair of the Department of Theatre and Dance at Nassau Community College.
